Field guide / privacy

Follow the data through each action.

This guide explains how ByteSpeed Limited (“ByteSpeed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in mobile applications, websites, and related services that link here. A data practice applies only to the product and function you choose.

Effective dateMarch 5, 2026
Before an action

You select the material and permission

Depending on the product, selected material may include spreadsheets, documents, images, camera output, PDF files, authentication entries, or cleanup candidates. Work that can be completed on the device is performed there, and the source material remains under your device controls.

A duplicate-photo feature may compare items locally and present suggestions. You decide whether to delete any candidate. An authenticator feature may handle verification secrets and generated codes locally; protect your device and retain recovery material you still need.

Online query

A number is processed only when you enter it

When you initiate a number-query function, the entered number is transmitted to return the requested result. The function does not use your device address book for that purpose and does not provide reverse lookup or a public telephone directory.

During an action

Technical information keeps the request working

A feature may request access to selected photos, files, or a camera only when needed for an action you start. You may refuse or revoke permission through device settings, although the related feature may then be unavailable.

An online connection exposes an IP address to the receiving service. Limited product version, operating-system, device type, language, error, and security information may also be processed for compatibility, delivery, protection, and troubleshooting.

Remote-media limit. If you deliberately start a photo or video function that clearly requires remote processing, only the selected media and corresponding result may be uploaded. They are deleted no later than two weeks after the last related processing activity.
Purpose check

Information is used for the selected operation

  • to perform the editing, conversion, scanning, query, cleanup, connection, or authentication action you request;
  • to preserve settings and display content stored on your device;
  • to maintain security, diagnose errors, and prevent misuse;
  • to answer support requests and administer app-store transactions; and
  • to comply with applicable law and protect lawful rights.
After an action

Retention depends on who holds the record

Local documents, authentication entries, output, and settings remain subject to your device and backup controls. The two-week period applies only to photos, videos, and generated results actually uploaded for remote processing; it does not apply to local files, support correspondence, transaction records, or security records.

Support and operational records are kept only while reasonably needed for their purpose or as required by law. App stores and other independent providers apply their own retention practices.

Third parties

Some functions rely on other services

Vendors may support a requested online function, infrastructure, customer service, app-store transaction, security, or legal compliance. Some products may display advertising; advertising disclosures and platform controls apply only to those products. We do not infer a server country from ByteSpeed’s registration place.

Information may be processed outside your country or region. Where required, appropriate contractual, organizational, and legal safeguards are used.

Your controls

Permissions, deletion, and legal rights

You may choose the content and permission involved, delete local material, clear product data, or stop using a product. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection for information ByteSpeed controls. We may verify the relevant device, transaction, support record, or online interaction before acting.

Safety

Security, age, and revisions

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. Covered products are intended for users aged 17 and older; a higher age or additional authorization required by local law continues to apply.

We may revise this guide as products, providers, practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version, and additional notice will be provided where required.
